My idea was to study one subject extensively for about a month, depending on the subject we could go longer or shorter than that. The idea is to find everything you can on each subject and then write up a paper as if you were going to submit it to a Professor. Obviously the more you put into it the more you will learn but each of us know where we are in our midwife education so it's completely up to you how much you do. When you are done you can upload your paper to this blog. That way everyone can participate even if you can't make it to the class.
We will also follow the schedule we followed last time. One week will be a discussion on what we are working on and then the following week we will do a skills lab.
I can't remember all of what Kimberlee posted so I thought I would post again what we are doing next week. Jeanette has a lady coming to show us how to capsulate a placenta. We are planning on researching the benefits of using the placenta postpartum and will also be researching other ways it could be used. We will meet at 10:00 at Jeanette's and then the lady will be coming at 11:00. It could take 3-4 hours so Kimberlee has suggested we do lunch too. I will talk to Jeanette and let you know what is decided.
